There's nothing after that......
He's been stuck on JWN ever since.
i was reading your story on freeminds.org, but for some reason it doesn't finish.
it stops at the part where you say that you traveled a lot for work and missed quite a few meetings.
there's nothing after that.......

[stealing aguest's title.
i don't think she has a good voice.
in fact i have a very bad singing voice and she sounds like me.
True, but this song is catchy as hell
"even if we don't agree with new light, we should ask ourselves, where else would we go?
without this organization, we would never have learned the basic bible truths we have today.".
this was stated twice in commenting and once by our conductor during our wt study yesterday.
Extraordinary Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds.
Brilliant book, it accurately describes the psychology of the organization which is amazing consider it was written before Chuck Russell even started it all.
it's nice to have you here !
i found that this board was very supportive when i first got on it over 4 years ago .
i still find it supportive !
There are a lot of newbies here of late. Welcome!
it was an awful weekend both of my kids were in the hospital with pneumonia.
one had to stay the night and the other was treated in the er.
it was extremely stressful and worrisome to say the least.
((Mamalove)), try to direct your anger at the leaders of this disgusting organization, they are to blame.
I like Bella's tree analogy too.
.
hiya and... i do not really know where to begin... currently a jw... slightly starting to fade... got a girlfriend baptised... i am baptised also... my head is a mess... i do not know what to believe anymore... never really fully trusted elders as it comes to 'leading the flock'... got burned a few times with their ... decisions etc.
read a few articles in here about their alleged false beliefs... do not really know what to do... wondered if any of you felt like that at any point... when something that you trusted and followed most of your life... does not seem to be what you thought it was... .
I do not mean to sound dramatic but it is almost like part of your world has / is falling apart... is it not?
It does feel that way but this too shall pass.
I second LWT's advice. I read non-stop for a year, then took another year to wake my husband up. It's not easy but worth the effort.
And welcome.
i know this question is a "slippery slope.
" but i am wondering if you belive there is a sin, that merits excommunication?
i vote child molesters and rapist and murding (a unjustifiable murder, serial killers, outright evil by community standards.
Private organizations should have the right to boot members for whatever reason they see fit.
I agree with this, however, they do not have the right to tell people not to speak with/associate with that person.
i am so ashamed that i joined this site!
i thought that i would meet people here that honour jehovah here.
insread most of the people here are not here for the service of god.
This site should feel so ashamed to carry the name of JEHOVA because this is definitely not a witness to Jehovah.
How do you think Jehovah feels about Jehovah's Witnesses claiming to represent him?
This is from the May 22nd 1969 Awake:
How do you square that with this?
Deut 18:20 “‘However, the prophet who presumes to speak in my name a word that I have not commanded him to speak or who speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet must die. 21 And in case you should say in your heart: “How shall we know the word that Jehovah has not spoken?” 22 when the prophet speaks in the name of Jehovah and the word does not occur or come true, that is the word that Jehovah did not speak. With presumptuousness the prophet spoke it. You must not get frightened at him.’

will anyone be there?.
Will anyone be there?
i got into one of those extended conversations with relatives i haven't spoken to in ages.
it was full of things unsaid and careful avoidance of saying too much about the organization.
lots of nice social hypocrisy, so nobody gets upset in the fairy-tale world of watchtower-ism.. is there any discreet, tactful, inoffensive way to tell them, "the organization is dying"?
It's self evident to anyone with two eyes in their head (or maybe even one). Our congregation has lost 5% of it's members this year from walkaways.
